The Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children, and Persons with Special Needs, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani, has paid a condolence visit to the family of seven people recently murdered in their home at Dorayi Quarters.
During the condolence visit, the Commissioner expressed deep shock and sorrow, describing the killings as a devastating loss for the family, the local community, and Kano State.
Hajiya Amina particularly mourned the deaths of six children and their mother, noting that the tragedy has left an indelible mark on all who learned of it. She declared, “Enough is enough. A stop must be put to these terrible happenings in the state.”
The Commissioner prayed for the repose of the victims’ souls and for strength and patience for the grieving family. She also urged community members, families, and relevant authorities to remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding lives and property, stressing that preventing such tragedies requires collective responsibility.
Hajiya Amina reaffirmed her Ministry’s commitment to protecting and promoting the welfare of women, children, and persons with special needs. She highlighted ongoing collaboration with security agencies and community stakeholders to enhance safety and social well-being.
The Commissioner commended Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his compassionate and people-centered leadership, particularly his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups.
To assist the bereaved family, the Commissioner donated food items to help them cope during this difficult period. She was accompanied by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Muhammad Sambo Iliyasu, and the Directors of the Ministry.
