The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has expressed grief over the death of a former Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar-Mata.
In a condolence statement signed by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman A. Dederi, Matawalle described the death of the 70-year-old former Executive Secretary as a loss to his family, the Board and the wider community.

Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar-Mata reportedly died on Sunday after a brief illness. He is survived by three wives and fifteen children.

Matawalle, on behalf of the management, members and entire staff of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, condoled with the deceased’s family and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
He also prayed to Allah to admit the deceased into Aljannatul Firdaus.

The Director-General urged members of the bereaved family to remain united, uphold peace and support one another as they mourn their loved one.
He prayed for strength and comfort for the family and all those affected by the death.
